Multi-Media Mapping Havana

Collaborative project that involved students from USC Sol Price School of Public Policy and Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, June 2013

During an intense two weeks in June 2013, TRPI traveled to Cuba with a group of student researchers, artists, and journalists to create and collect multi-media content that documents the activity on a one kilometer long street, Calle Obispo, that runs through the heart of Old Havana. The team worked collaboratively with a group of students from the University of Havana to collect data, visual images and interviews on the people and business that occupy every building on the street. The result is a compelling website chock full of information about Calle Obispo, Old Havana and Cuba. The set of interactive maps and short documentary films draw upon the rich data collected first-hand by the students on the street.
